May 18 Map & Market Highlights

New vendor, Casnin's Ice Candy, will be attending their second market tomorrow. If you didn't notice them on Saturday, please take the time to stop at their booth. Erlinda uses a twist on her grandmother's recipe to create unique flavour combinations of a traditional Filipino frozen treat (packaged like a "freezie"). Erlinda's version uses only natural ingredients to a make colourful, flavourful and creamy Ice Candy. 6 flavours, (using a combination of fruit, vegetables, coffee, tea, herbs, and spices), are currently available: Raspberry Mint, Four Seasons (guava, pineapple, mango, & orange), Purple Yam with Coconut, Sweet Corn with Cinnamon, Coffee Crumble, and Matcha with Almond Milk.

It's time to get those gardens planted! Bedding plants, hanging plants and potted plants are available at RFM. There are plants for your vegetable garden or flower bed. The flowers pictured here can be found at Clay's Plants & Baking, among many others. Plants can also be found at Kangro Gardening, S & S Flowers and Over the Hill Orchards (cherry trees). Asher Designs will have potted plants on Saturday.

Our longest-standing vendor of 41 years, Fishley Farms, will be returning to the market tomorrow. Rose will have bedding plants as well!

New this year, 33 1/3 Coffee Roasters will be offering hot coffee in addition to their cold brew at RFM. While we wish every market day was a cold brew day, it doesn't quite work that way. Some market days are brisk, making a hot cup of locally roasted coffee a necessity. Also new this year, the cold brew is no longer required to be sold frozen! Now you can drink it as quickly as you wish, without waiting for it to thaw. These recent changes also apply to Cuppa' T'—tea is now available hot or iced (not frozen)!

It will be the first market of the year for Fishley Farms and Susie's Cinns, as well as the first Wednesday market for Casnin's Ice Candy and Clay's Plants & Baking. BarnCat Designs, Beyond Naturals, Blankets 'n' Books, Cuppa' T', Dressed by Les, and Lorraine's Kitchen are all back tomorrow. Brown Communications will be at the market, with birthday activities planned, celebrating 50 years in business! Food trucks: Bon Burger, Mr. Spudd's Poutinerie and Nacho Fiesta.

See you at market!
