Oct. 1 Map & 3 Outdoor Markets Left!

That's right, there are only ***3*** markets left on the Plaza! Starting Saturday, October 15, we'll be warm and cozy inside the Shrine Centre at 2065 Hamilton St. Indoor markets are on Saturdays ONLY (no Wednesday markets!) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm until December 17. There are more details to come, but be prepared for the market to expand into the basement of the Shrine Centre for two levels of awesome RFM vendors!

At this time next week, you'll be in Thanksgiving meal planning mode. It may be a good idea to get a few things out of the way this weekend, to avoid the last minute I-forgot-the-cranberry-sauce shopping. The vegetables for your Thanksgiving feast (like celery, spaghetti squash or potatoes) can be purchased early and stored until you need them. It may also be wise to pre-order a pumpkin pie for pick up next Saturday. Below is a list of vendors that will have pumpkin something, whether it's pie, loaf or dessert perogies.

  • Ally's Specialty Baking (diabetic and gluten free baking available)

  • Cake Witch Cafe

  • Clay's Baking

  • D'licious Treats

  • Lorraine's Kitchen

  • MeeMee's Bites

  • Mila's Home Baking

  • Nosh Artisan Edibles

  • Sharon's Pies & More

  • The Cookie Lady

  • Yorkton Bakers

The pumpkin pie and pecan pie pictured here were both made by The Cookie Lady, who also makes a pumpkin latte pie (whaaat?!). If you're not sure which pie you'll like best, I suggest trying a pie or two from each baker tomorrow before ordering one for next Saturday. That way, you'll be really sure...just sayin'.  ;)

TO ALL MARKET REGULARS: You may have noticed that Ada Bennett did not return at the end of her leave in August; she has decided to explore other opportunities. It's sad to see her go after 8 years as RFM Manager and a short time as Marketing Manager. To thank Ada for her countless contributions to RFM, there will be a small farewell celebration at noon on the Plaza tomorrow. If getting to know Ada was a memorable part of your RFM experience, please consider this your invitation to stop by and wish her well.

The Saskatchewan Writers' Guild is moving Words in the Park to the Plaza stage during market tomorrow, to allow for a larger program in conjunction with Culture Days Saskatchewan. Here's the schedule:

  • 10:30 am - (opening music) Brian Templeton Trio

  • 11:00 am - Poetry Hour: Frances Boyle, Dwayne Brenna, Nathan Mader, and Courtney Bates-Hardy

  • 12:00 pm - (musical interlude) Brian Templeton Trio

  • 12:30 pm - Erin Dingle

For more information on cultural events taking place in Regina on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 & 2 (many are family friendly and free), visit the Culture Days website.

BACK IN: Clark's Spices, MeeMee's Bites, Sadza Arts & Craft, Southland Colony, and Sweet Kingdom.

FOOD TRUCKS: Baba's Food Spot, Prairie Smoke and Wheelie Good Coffee.

Take a look at the Vendor LIST to see all in attendance and the Market MAP for vendor locations on the Plaza.

See you at market!
