Street Beets July 17th, 2015: I Love Regina Day, Salayview Eggs, and Map!

Every day is I Love Regina Day for me. You can't work at the Regina Farmers' Market and not see how great this city is! The people are warm, smart, and lots of fun. We have City officials that support great events like ours by building a space we can all enjoy. We live in the city with the coolest CFL team. We have awesome parks, picturesque bike trails, and lots of options for kid's entertainment. We are so lucky. Look at this picture, taken by Brittany Johns last night. THIS is Regina! I had no trouble at all finding contestants to join in on the Celebrity Pie Eating Contest for Market under the Stars. I looked out at the crowd while doing the announcing and saw all these happy faces looking up at me. I thought this is what it is all about...this is why I work here. Thank you Regina for yesterday, it rained and you stayed! You made all that planning worth it. This is why you are so awesome! I Love you Regina!

Come down to celebrate I Love Regina Day tomorrow. Features of this year’s event include a FREE barbeque, children’s activities, giveaways and much more! Event activities will commence at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. More detailed information is here on the City of Regina I Love Regina Day page. In the case of poor weather, please check back for updates.

Here is an exciting new venture in diversification for Salayview Farm! Wholesome, naturally fed, Heritage Breed chicken eggs. Eggs in all hues of browns, beiges, and soft robin's egg blue! The goal of this farm is to grow and create the highest quality food. You already love them for their fantastic goat cheeses, yogurt, kefir, and cajeta; now you can also pick up their farm fresh Heritage eggs too! We are always running out of eggs at the Market, this is a great addition to their booth and our Market!

Tomorrow's Vendor Map is right here for you! We will be located as usual on the Plaza, the I Love Regina Day events will be located throughout Victoria Park. WAWA Shriners will be hosting RFM Kids Club again this Saturday! Let's get chalking and bubble blowing. And let's show each other some love Regina! Ada
