Street Beets May 30th, 2015: Meat, Record Breaking Markets, and Kids' Club Cancelled this Market.

There is so much news, it's going to take a longer blog post! So, here we go! Famed Saskatchewan meat processers Ottenbriet Meats will start their first Market as an RFM Vendor tomorrow! What are they famous for? Well most have you have heard of Grayson Sausage, right? They make more than that though! Tomorrow they will have deli meats, different types of sausages (including a gluten free one), jerky, and speciality smoked meats. They have been a family business for 60 years and winners of numerous meat competitions. Get these quality products on both Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please go show Denis and his daughter Brandi your love and appreciation!

As usual the Market is breaking records. I am certain I did not see such full Markets last year on Wednesdays. Tomorrow there are 60 booths at the Market, which I am fairly certain is the biggest we have ever been in May in our history. Here is the PDF Vendor Map for May 30th, 2015. This is going to start getting very important to customers as more of your favourite vendors come in.

Here's a list of booths coming tomorrow that haven't been in for a while: Rusty's Wild Rice, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, Rousay Station, Ponderosa Alpaca, The Flour Shoppe, Trogi Foods, Pure T Organics, and Rocky Acres Orchard. Southland Colony will have some fall and early summer veggies and I heard they have some smaller turkeys too! Miller's By Gone Farm will be carrying cuts of beef and pork. Pam runs out of lamb fairly quickly so you will have to check with her if any is available. Did you know she also carries goat meat occasionally? Golden Prairie Wild Boar will be in with, you guessed it, Wild Boar products. If you expect to get any Wild Boar Bacon, get it early!

Last and with our apologies, RFM Kids' Club is cancelled tomorrow. This event will be hosted by the WAWA Shriners every Saturday. There just wasn't enough volunteers for the first one. If the weather is ever questionable RFM Kids' Club will have to be cancelled. You can expect the first one of the year to be next Saturday, June 6th.

That's all the news for this Market folks. It is going to be a busy one. Stop by and say hello to me, I'll be at the RFM Info Booth right by The Cookie Lady. You can pick up your Market under the Stars information cards with dates at the same time! See you all tomorrow! Ada
