Street Beets Oct. 7, 2015: Market Map, W.H. Ford School & Last Wednesday Market of 2015!

Since this will be the last Wednesday Market of 2015, maybe we should look back on all of the great Wednesday Markets we had. They were very busy; downtown Regina never seems to get tired of us! We're rather grateful for that. The weather wasn't all bad, either. There were definitely a few windy Wednesdays and even less rainy ones, but overall I remember hot and sunny days. Thank you Regina (especially those who work downtown) for supporting our Wednesday Markets this year.

Over the summer, we welcome daycares and school groups that wish to experience the Market. Mrs. Nancy Fieldgate of W.H. Ford School has made a point of involving her students in a farmers' market field trip every year. This year, we were so happy to receive some drawings from the class illustrating their experience at the Market. Waldeck Colony made their trip especially memorable, as he gifted the students a bag of carrots and potatoes to make into soup. Mrs. Fieldgate let us know that the "Fall Soup" was exceptionally tasty this year!

Please remember to order your pumpkin pies and turkeys for Thanksgiving. Most of our bakers will have pumpkin pie but only Southland Colony will have turkeys. You may call (306) 784-7799 to place an order with Southland Colony.

REMINDER: Our last Market on the Plaza will be Saturday, October 10th. Starting October 17th, we will be indoors at 2065 Hamilton St., Saturdays only.

CLICK HERE to view the Market Map. Food Trucks in attendance: Nacho Fiesta, Bon Burger, Mr. Spudd's Poutinerie, and Prairie Smoke. It looks like this may be the smallest Wednesday Market of the year! However, you can still expect to see The Garlic Garden, Floating Gardens and Hi Low Angus. Our BC fruit truck is gone until 2016 and Golden Prairie Wild Boar is not in. The Scandinavian Sweethearts and Yorkton Bakers are back.

See you at Market!
