Bring on the veg!

As Saskies we don't necessarily think of November as a bountiful time for local produce... but think again! Tomorrow's market features an incredible diversity of fresh vegetables grown right here at home:

Floating Gardens: come early for cucumbers, and stay for the hydroponically-grown eggplants, tomatoes, and leafy greens.

Frontier Gardens: Pack that root cellar with onions, potatoes, beets, carrots, and parsnips!

Heliotrope Organic Farm: Rick and Hayley don't stay with us all Fall, so this could be their last market... don't miss out on the last of their season's bounty!

Stellar Gourmet Mushrooms (pictured here): It's happening, at long last! Joel is returning with his organically grown Blue Oyster, Shiitake, and Lion's Mane mushrooms.

The Garlic Garden: Anna is returning for the first of only two Fall Indoor Markets, so don't miss out on her fresh gardlic and garlic products!

PLUS: Be sure to check in with our other veggie producers... you're still likely to find fresh tomatoes at Rocky Acres Orchard and root vegetables from Miller's By-Gone Farm!

Brunch with El Tropezon

It's been a while since we've had an authentic Mexican meal at the market... but tomorrow we welcome back Roberto of El Tropezon for Saturday brunch/lunch. Come by the Core Ritchie kitchen to try out:

Cash Money at Market

We've heard you loud and clear: you need cash at the farmers' market, and we can help! Our friends at Fast Funds will be bringing their portable ATM (it's so cute!) to the next two markets to help make sure you don't run short of funds in the middle of your shopping. It will be located at the main entrance next to the RFM Info Booth.

And don't forget that lots of our vendors accept non-cash payments... so don't be shy to ask!

It's hard to believe, but the holidays are actually approaching faster than most of us are prepared for! But do not fear: we have you covered. Start your holiday grocery and gift shopping anytime. Our holiday market schedule is as follows:

REGULAR FARMERS' MARKETS

Saturdays until December 22 • 9 am - 1 pm • Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre (445 14 Ave)

That's right, there is a BONUS market on Dec 22!

HOLIDAY NIGHT MARKETS

Thursdays • November 29 & December 13 • 5 - 9 pm • Weston Building (1377 Hamilton St).

Last year's inaugural Holiday Night Market was so much fun that we decided to double up on this year's cheer by adding a second night market.
