Outdoor Market Countdown!

The countdown is on! After an incredible 2018 season including 55 markets to date (nine spring indoor markets, 42 outdoor markets, and four Markets Under the Stars!), there are only three outdoor markets remaining before we move inside to our brand new indoor market venue (Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre – 445 14th Ave)! Join us on the Plaza on Saturday September 29, Wednesday October 3, and Saturday October 6 from 9 am to 1 pm!

Hello Fall! 

The hard frosts of fall mean that we have to say goodbye and see you next year to some of our Saskatchewan local food bounty. But some seasonal treats are just now coming into their own! Here’s a pro parsnip tip from RFM farmer Pam Miller, of Miller’s By-Gone Farm:

“It’s parsnip season! Now that we’ve had a few frosts it’s time to start digging up these delicious root vegetables. My new favourite way to eat them is mashed with potatoes. I boil equal amounts of Yukon gold potatoes and parsnips until tender. Mash with butter and cream or milk. It’s a nice twist to regular mashed potatoes.”

Food Truck Wind Down

Our powerful fleet of Food Trucks is also in the process of winding down for the season. But you’ll still find a few options for a hot meal at tomorrow’s market!

Larry’s Bread Machine –Larry will be also joining us at indoor market in his smaller format (Going with the Grain) with fresh breads and baking.
Mr. Spudd’s Poutinerie
Prairie Smoke & Spice – Rob and his team will also be joining us indoors with their frozen smoked meat products!
