Outdoor Farmers' Market

May 19 RFM News

The long weekend is finally here and we've got over 60 vendors attending tomorrow's market! This is your opportunity to stock up with everything you need for the long weekend. We’ll make it easy for you to buy super fresh local food and support local farmers! At the same time, you’ll be entertained by both Mosaic dancers (onsite at the Plaza stage) and the Saskatchewan Highland Gathering & Celtic Festival (happening in Victoria Park). Read on for the the rundown of what to expect at the Regina Farmers’ Market tomorrow (from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at City Square Plaza).

If your plans include firing up the barbecue this weekend, let us help you find the perfect protein. There will be four (4!) meat vendors in attendance tomorrow - visit Reid's Artisanal Butchery, Original Family Farm (both pictured), JE Ranch Inc, or Golden Prairie Wild Boar Meats for all your grilling needs.

Now, what's a barbecue without some brews to sip while you grill the perfect burger? Both Pile O' Bones Brewing Co. and District Brewing Company will be at market tomorrow so you can grab some local beer for the weekend. (And if beer isn't your thing, there will also be local wine, spirits, and mead available too!)

We’ll have a plethora of vendors for you to choose from. Along with our trusty regulars, the following vendors will be returning: Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard and POP!ed Paradise.

Also returning, (after a short break): Carelebeads, Chimney Cake, Earthy Artisan, Mr. Spudds Poutinerie, Pure T Organics.

And, Jenny's Bow & Meow will be making their first appearance this year!

Looking for other things to see and do tomorrow? Regina Multicultural Council will be back again tomorrow to showcase more Mosaic pavilion performances. They'll be performing on the plaza stage and performances will start at 9am and continue throughout the morning. There will also be Mosaic passports available for purchase!

And, after you check out the market: Saskatchewan Highland Gathering & Celtic Festival is happening this weekend at Victoria Park! The festival runs tomorrow from 8am - 5:30pm and Sunday from 8am - 4:30pm. If you love kilts, pipes, and all things Scottish we'd suggest taking in a caber toss or a dance (or two). Visit www.saskhighland.ca for more details.
