Introducing Katrina Southernwood of Blue Rose Gluten-Free Baking
Blue Rose GF Baking has been with the market since 2016 and are baed in Estevan. Katrina was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010 which lead her to re-learn how to bake and experiment in the kitchen. Katrina didn’t like the gluten free baking offerings available because they had too many additives or didn’t taste like traditional baking. In an effort to find tasty gluten-free options, she set out making baking mixes that were gluten free. She boxed up her most foolproof baking mixes and started selling them to people who were gluten-intolerant to bring back the joy and availability of home baking.
All of Katrina's mixes are additive and preservative free. Most of her flour is freshly ground and she will even make or alter mixes to meet your specific allergies. She has other allergen lines such as dairy-free and nut-free. Her newest line is sugar-free that uses all natural diabetic friendly sugar free replacements without using aspartame. She has a wide range of mixes and fresh baking, both savoury and sweet such as cinnamon buns, cookies, pies, cakes pizza kits, and even perogie dough.
