The diversity of produce available at RFM has increased incredibly over the last few years. It's no longer strange to see things such as tomatillos, fennel, eggplant, cantaloupe, or Brussels sprouts on the tables of vendors. But what about okra--did you know it can be grown in our province? It's practically a southern-American staple, but the same cannot be said of Saskatchewan; it's doubtful that most prairie-dwellers can say they've even tasted okra. Rocky Acres Orchard plans to remedy that--visit them tomorrow to pick up some okra and maybe a few cooking tips.
