May 11 Map & FIRST WEDNESDAY MARKET!
Tomorrow is our first Wednesday market of the year! Sadly, it's going to be a rainy day. :( While we are far from having 70 vendors on the Plaza as we did on Saturday, the vendors you'll see tomorrow are hard-core. They're braving the wind and the rain to bring their products to you; thank you for coming out and supporting them!
Among the brave will be Gary of Name Your Nuts. He drives every Wednesday morning from Saskatoon to Regina, all the way thinking of new nut-related jokes to entertain customers. Ok, maybe they aren't all new...either way, he'll be waiting for you on the Plaza tomorrow morning with freshly roasted and candied pecans, almonds, peanuts, and sunflower seeds.
New vendor, Barbara of Cake Witch Cafe, is not afraid of a little rain, either. Barbara is a trained German pastry chef living in Rosthern, SK. Her table is always overflowing with cakes galore–something different every week. At tomorrow's market, Barbara will have:
Cranberry Breakfast Bread
Strawberry, Blueberry & Lemon Breakfast Bread
Apple Cheddar Breakfast Bread
Sea Salt Truffle Brownies
Cornbread with Sundried Tomatoes
Lemon Lavender Butter Cake
German Lemon Blueberry Kaffeekuchen
German Raspberry Vanilla Bean Kaffeekuchen
German 4-Berry Streuselkuchen
German Apple Cranberry Streuselkuchen
German Poppyseed Streuselkuchen
Lemon Butter Fingers
Gluten-Friendly Chocolate Quinoa Tarte
German Vanilla Chocolate Marble Cake
French Pear Raspberry Tarte
Tune into Global Morning tomorrow to see Eat Simply and Cake Witch Cafe! The Global crew will be on the Plaza bright and early to feature these two awesome vendors on the morning show. FYI, there will be a featured vendor on Global Morning every Wednesday in May, June and July!
Take a look at the MAP to see which vendors will be in attendance tomorrow. You can click on the vendor name to be directed to their Vendor Page on the RFM website. Floating Gardens will be in with greens, tomatoes and cucumbers. Food trucks: Bon Burger, Mr. Spudd's Poutinerie and Nacho Fiesta.
See you at market!
