Outdoor Farmers' Market

City Square Plaza

RFM News: July 25

  • Ed Bially of Baba's Food Spot uses "a creamy dill recipe similar to his grandmother’s and mother’s"
  • Queen City Grill represents the coming together of several generations of family to serve Middle Eastern food.
  • El Tropezon Authentic Mexican Food is run by a husband and wife team (who recently had a baby boy but we're not sure of his role on the truck yet!)

CBC was out to the market recently and talked to 3 of the food trucks that regularly attend The Regina Farmers' Market. In their article they picked up on a similar trait between these food trucks; many of these businesses are all about family! Food trucks have become an important part of The Regina Farmers' Market and a popular lunch destination for folks in the Queen City.

The story is definitely worth a read if you're interested in learning about the folks inside the trucks who are making your food. You'll find it here: https://bit.ly/2v4yZAY.

Plan to head down to the market tomorrow and have lunch at one of these fine food trucks:
Absolute Zero (ice cream and frozen confections)
Baba's Food Spot (Ukranian food)
El Tropezon Authentic Mexican Food
Larry's Bread Machine (ramen, bagels, french toast)
Mr. Spudds Poutinerie (poutines, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers)
Nacho Fiesta (tacos)
Prairie Smoke and Spice (BBQ)
Queen City Grill (shwarma, falafel, pitas)

Saltine Baking Co. on a Wednesday? Say what?

You heard it here first, folks. Saltine Baking Co. is headed to tomorrow's market with their outrageously popular artisanal bread and pastries. They've decided to keep us all in suspense and haven't posted their entire menu. Not to worry. We can attest to the fact that everything Ashley makes is superb and you will be not be disappointed! Unless you come too late and they sell out; come early, folks!

We know they'll bring some naturally leavened loaves of bread and word on the street is they will be featuring Roasted Garlic Baguettes.
