40 Years of RFM; 40 Best Customers - #7

In celebration of the RFM’s 40th Anniversary, we’re giving our vendors the opportunity to nominate and reward Best Customers. This allows our vendors to show appreciation for special customers that have supported them on their endeavours. Not every day is an amazing day at the Market, but these customers show up rain-or-shine. 

40 years is a long time for any organization to be around, and it’s a lot of time for things to grow stagnant. RFM, however, is still thriving; we have never been more relevant and more loved than we are today. The Market family continues to grow along with customer attendance. We owe this success to the City of Regina, Regina Downtown, our vendors, and most importantly, our customers.

Please allow us to show our gratitude to 40 people in representation of thousands, with our only regret being that we can’t reward each and every person that takes the time to visit us, whether it’s once a week or once a year. Thank you.

Best Customer #7 has been nominated by Lesley of Dressed by Les. Lesley's booth shows off her creativity with fabric. Her booth is overflowing with unique and brightly coloured accessories for babies and adults.

7. Nicki Barr

• married mom of one

• loves the outdoors

• works at Environment Canada

Originally from Ontario, Nicki has been attending RFM for several years, even before Dressed by Les became a vendor. These two beautiful ladies with matching smiles have become good friends as a result of their involvement in the Market.  

When asked if she hides her purchases from her family, Nicki said, "probably not." Look out Barr family, that isn't a firm no! Nicki's favourite item at the Market happens to be from Dressed by Les - the "Bapron".

According to Nicki, the best time to shop at RFM is summer because "it's nice to be outdoors". If Nicki became a vendor at the Market, she would sell soup.

"Nicki has always been a proud supporter of mine; I am constantly told that she's the one reponsible for sending a new customer my way. She is also a big fan of the Market and loves shopping local."
