March 9th, 2013 Street Beets: I sure missed local!

I knew I missed local food, but I didn't realize how much until I crunched away at a cucumber from Pusch Brothers. It really tastes like a cucumber! The kids had extra fresh veggies in their lunch and decided to forgo bread in favour of extra tomatoes and cucumber. Farmers' Market Manager kids know what tastes good...

Today we have a number of vendors coming in, some of whom had missed last week because the roads were so bad. The Green Ranch, Yorkton Bakers, Beetnik Lady (Mother Hubbard's Cupboard), the Danish Lady, and Barn Cat Designs. I got calls in the past couple of hours that Jean's Beeswax and Golden Prairie Wild Boar will not be in.
