Street Beets August 19th, 2015: Jamaican Callaloo, Bug Spray and Vendor Map

Some products at RFM are very familiar, others not so much. Need an example? Jamaican Callaloo (pictured) is one such product; I bet you haven't heard of it until now!

This leafy green grows quickly and, before you know it, can be 8' tall. It has large leaves and tender stems that are usually cooked instead of eaten raw. Jamaican Callaloo tastes a bit like spinach (a little more bitter, in my opinion), and can replace spinach in any recipe that calls for it.
Find this unique product exclusively at Floating Gardens.

Introducing a new product from Sacred Earth: Herbal Bug Spray! This insect repellent is an all-natural and chemical-free alternative to traditional options. It contains aloe, essential oils, catnip, and witch hazel. It's handmade and biodegradable. Available in 118 ml or 236 ml bottles.

See you at Market!
