Vendor Spotlight: Wattle Lane Co.
Allison from Wattle Lane Co. has been an entrepreneur and small business owner in the Regina area since 2004. She has always been crafty though, learning to knit at only six years old! In 2018 she started making jewellery and was invited to become an RFM vendor in 2019. Her talents are evident throughout their tables filled with product and online store. Wattle Lane Co. creates everything from necklaces and earrings, to masks and baby toys, and everything in between.
Together, Allison and her husband Bill have built a business focused on ways to reduce their footprint. Because their product line is so expansive every single scrap of material is used to add to new products, create scrunchies, or come up with new and unique ideas for products.
Allison says that she loves to find new ways to keep the product she’s bringing to market fresh and exciting and added that he favorite part of the process is shopping for fabric and the creation process for all their products. Her favorite item to make is the baby tag sensory blankets because she loves the process of choosing matching materials and ribbons and seeing it all come together for the final product. These blankets are also among her most popular items available through the Regina Farmers’ Market.
“I’ve always loved markets so it is a dream to be a vendor in one, it is a full circle for me” Allison told us. And we love having Wattle Lane Co. as part of the RFM family – you can check them out in our online store here.
