July 20 Map & Market Under the Stars, Round 2!
If you've missed a couple of markets, you may not be aware that Lincoln Gardens has returned to RFM. They're back, beside the Plaza stage and with 30' of tables overflowing with fresh veg! On Saturday, I noticed a bright orange bin loaded with yellow beans. I find yellow and green beans to be just as exciting as the first crop of peas (you may or may not agree with me, here). I'll eat them raw, but my favourite thing to make with them is creamy bean soup, turned green with dill.
Mitchell's All Natural Foods and Heliotrope Organic Farm also have beans. Other vegetable growers (Waldeck Colony, Southland Colony, Belle Plaine Colony, Spring Creek Gardens, Fishley Farms, Miller's By-Gone Farm, etc.) will have yellow and green beans in the near future, maybe even tomorrow!
Round 2 of Market Under the Stars is this Thursday, July 21! There will be 25 Food Tasting Booths with over 80 choices of local food Tastes, and 5 Liquor Tasting Booths with Tastes from Black Fox Spirits, Last Mountain Distillery, Living Sky Winery, Malty National, and Over the Hill Orchards.
Join us on the Plaza from 5 pm to 10 pm to enjoy Food and Liquor Tasting as well as yoga, salsa dancing, RFM vendors, and live music (Nick Faye and The Alley Dawgs). Park for free in the SaskPower parking lot after 5 pm. For complete event information including the full Tasting Menu and map, click HERE.
Ally's Specialty Baking, Amarah Elizabeth, Fishley Farms, Lorraine's Kitchen, Prairie Engraving, Rosie the Flower Truck, and S&S Vegetables & Flowers will all be attending the market tomorrow. Please visit the booths along Scarth St. as well. Food trucks: Baba's Food Spot, Bon Burger, Mr. Spudd's Poutinerie, and Prairie Smoke & Spice BBQ.
Here's the full Vendor LIST as well as the Market MAP.
See you at market tomorrow and Market Under the Stars Thursday night!
