Market Day
Jun 24, 2017
Nearly 90 Vendors!
88 vendors are expected to attend the market tomorrow, filling the Plaza and half of Scarth St. Between more veggie producers attending in July/August and new vendors starting throughout the season, we expect to fill the Plaza and ALL of Scarth St. this summer!
Beer
We welcomed Pile O' Bones Brewing Co. to the market earlier this year, and now Malty National is joining! We've had all kinds of growler fills at the market, but we've never had bottles or cans of beer. Malty National now has that covered; tomorrow, they're bringing 4-pack cans of "Sports" pale ale – a citrusy brew.
Beef
Lake of the Rivers Ranch is our newest beef producer, located near Mossbank, SK. They provide grassfed ground beef, steak, and roasts. Visit them on Scarth St. tomorrow.
New Potatoes & Carrots
Last year's potatoes and carrots are still good, but they're not quite as exciting as this year's baby potatoes and carrots. You'll find fresh ones tomorrow at Southland Colony, Belle Plaine Colony, and likely a few others.
Little Stories on the Plaza
From the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild (SWG) website:
- Time: 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
- Location: Plaza Stage
In partnership with the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, and the Regina Farmers’ Market, the SWG is proud to present “Little Stories on the Prairie" in celebration of Canadian Multicultural Day. Storytelling, poetry, and music will be the mediums used to highlight some of the diverse cultural voices in our province. See our awesome lineup of presenters here!
Support your local food and craft producers while taking part in a great event. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Regina Public Library Film Theatre.
Little Stories on the Prairie is a free event open to everyone. For more information contact Oin Nicholson at [email protected] or (306) 791-7746.
